The mission of Taking Every Thought Captive is to invite readers to think and live in the way of Jesus. The purpose of this blog is to provide space for conversations about theology, ministry, Christian living, and culture. We are called to love, obey, and worship God with our total personality which includes our thoughts. Paul’s Corinthian letter has been formative for my faith journey, especially verses 3-5.
Here’s an excerpt from the New King James Version.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, NKJV
This rich text deserves more attention than space permits here. I simply wanted to share this important passage with you.
